    Difficulty Level:
  • February 14, 2013 Not a good buy!

The International Edition is virtually impossible to read--many staff lines and portions of notes are faint or missing. It would be extremely difficult to learn the music from this score. It's odd, though, as their earlier edition (which I got from my local library) is very clear.

    Richmond, VA
    Difficulty Level:
  • April 24, 2009 Really Hard, but satisfying music!

Rachmaninoff implies a gratuitous technique and facility for an accomplished, well rounded performance. What doesn't make this particular edition easier to play is the old, outdated print of the notes. Its small, out of touch (as far as Typeset), and cluttered. I would suggest finding a new edition, but...

I cannot argue the reputation this music publisher has. Be very careful with Rachmaninoff... A lot is more said than done in this music!

    Difficulty Level:
  • May 08, 2008 Captivating Suite for 2 Pianos

The opening of four movements in this suite captivates from its onset through vivacious trading of melodies with almost every phrase. A koleidiscopic waltz comprises the second section, sporting flashy passages of hemiola. The trademark, irresistably rich harmonies of Rachmaninov make the third movement charming and luxurious, as a Romance...

should. The final movement is cast as a daring Tarantella. The score is advanced and most satisfying!
