  • June 06, 2007 At least some of the movements are cool

I mainly bought this suite for its final movement, the Seis Milonga. I also like the Boriken, but I can't see myself ever performing the whole suite. The Pavana's quite boring, and unfortunately comes right before the also slow Boriken, so you may put your audience to sleep...

. But the Seis Milonga is really a great piece. The sheet music is well-fingered and very clear. The accompanying CD is pretty disappointing; the recording quality is terrible and the performance is low energy. For a better recording, look for Martha Masters' DVD.
