  • August 15, 2014 excellent for teaching pitches

I use this method for my private studio. I sing one part and my student sings the other and we switch. It is excellent for younger singers and older beginners to learn how to harmonize, sing independently, learn to sing in tune, and to learn music theory since that is...

sometimes skipped with singers. It is challenging for some, but it is also fun. It can easily be broken down for different levels. My youngest singers only sing a line at a time. My more experienced singers Great addition to warmups and repertoire.

  • January 23, 2009 Private Voice Students Will Enjoy Sight Singing

This book is so much more modern than all of the classic books. My private students are progressing nicely with holding their own part as they learn to sight sing. A very simple, balanced approach. The teacher's edition is also recommended.
