    Lawrence, KS
    Difficulty Level:
  • November 17, 2008 American Opera

This opera by Kurt Weill is based on the play by Elmer Rice. This is the only piano/vocal score of this opera that I know of. There are a few mistakes throughout the score, so take a look at page 95 at the "Piu largo" in Frank's aria...

. (There may be others I'm not aware of.) It's a bit pricey, but a worth edition to any Music Library.

    Difficulty Level:
  • October 31, 2004 A fusion of Opera and Musical Theatre!

This is a magnificant work, and should be around for years to come. The beauty in the writing and the unique melodic lines blend to create a magnificant tale. Kurt Weill was at his best when he wrote this score!
