Literally and figuratively. Like all Hal Leonard books, the TAB and technique instructions are top notch. This book deserves 2 ratings. As far as the content it gets a "5". The techniques covered are invaluable, helping you to improve your playing. The downside to this book (which gives it a...

"3") is the fact that the accompanying CD does not include all the book tracks. There's a few good ones that are missing, though they are short solo or intro excerpts. Also as an FYI, not all of the song parts are included, just the sections that are being given the emphasis. If you want TAB for the whole song, purchase one of the other SRV compilations (they have it ALL!) and use this book to learn the techniques needed to play (almost) like SRV.

  • September 01, 2000 Did not contain whole songs

This book/cd contained only parts of each song. The cd was very entertaining to jam to. If only the talking on the cd could have been written as text in the book it would have faster to read and more cd space could be filled with music.
