    Difficulty Level:
  • May 20, 2010 Accompaniment CD - Lousy

Tempo is ridiculously fast. Rhythm not kept steady. Phrasing makes no sense. No provision for singer to take breaths. Pianist obviously has little or no experience actually accompanying, nor has he/she ever sung seriously.

    Difficulty Level:
  • December 09, 2008 For a beginner it's a huge lesson but...

I enjoy the clarity of the notes. I am currently just learning how to read sheet music vocally and for piano and this book is very helpful as I am getting comfortable with recognizing note keys and values. I also GREATLY appreciate the accompaniments on CD which include the pronunciations...

of the languages the songs are in. I am only a beginner but moving on to intermediate smoothly. Thanks! Sincerely...

    Difficulty Level:
  • November 09, 2008 Excellent Anthology with CD and Language Help

A very satisfying collection of vocal music, for the high-school and early college level singer. The CD with language pronounciation and the accompaniments make it valuable for both teacher and student, to save time and allow the student to practice independently.

This book has a wide range of music of different composers, languages, and ranges. The songs progressively become more difficult, which is ideal for improvement.
