I bought this book mainly for solo instrument performances, like a violin or sax with piano. The best part of this book is each piece contains a key change with the melody alternating between the solo and piano, keeping the pieces interesting. However, most of the pieces are TOO SHORT...

. I ended up writing extensions for all of these pieces before I can perform anywhere. Also I find them too easy so the solo is just kinda plain and I can do them totally without the score (but that's just me). Comparing this book to the similar series: Sounds of Celebration, the Sounds of Celebration is the better one because every piece contains a medley, making it more interesting. But that book contains contemporary worship songs, whereas this book contains traditional hymns only. However, I don't see why they cannot arrange medleys for these pieces as well.
