  • April 23, 2010 Very good for ensembles

Bought this for my church ensemble. We have all levels of experiece, and an ecclectic mix of instruments(2-3 trumpets, 2 trombones, 2-3 clarinets, 2 violins, 2 flutes, 1 tuba, 1 drum set, 1 piano). This is perfect for our small group, because the piano part ties everything...

together. You can play with any number of instruments, as long as the piano part is being covered, and it will sound good.

  • May 08, 2008 Versatile special instrumental music for church

The format allows different instrumentations to be used in a simple ensemble. With both the solo part and ensemble part, a nice professional sounding piece can be created using instruments at hand.

We have used selections from Volume One at nursing homes, church, and other functions and find Volume Two to be the same excellent quality of arrangement...very interesting to play and we have lots of good comments from our audiences.

  • August 28, 2007 Great for Ensemble or Solo

I first bought the cello book and a CD for solo work then a flute book then two more flute books for ensemble now we added a pianist. These are great books for a group or any one of us can do a solo with piano or CD. We love...

playing these songs both for fun and for church. I found a couple of mistakes in the cello book but they were very obvious and easily corrected.
