We needed an odd orchestration- flute, trombone and piano. This series is terrific, one can combine any number of instruments and using the solo and/or ensemble arrangements each piece can be tailored perfectly! We've used flute and piano, flute trumpet and piano, trumpet, trombone and piano, and all...

four together. I've used the sounds of Christmas series for a full orchestra with piano as well."

The solo arrangement is clearly written and it has some space for embellishments. I like the simple rhythms and easy keys. The melodic ranges are not difficult for any intermediate player.

Many of the songs are arranged in a medley of two, which makes for a more interesting performance. Good for use in church as a solo or with any combination of instruments, as the CD will fill in parts. Also has piano accompaniment and Conductor's score available.
