Composed by Dosia McKay. 20th Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 27 pages. Gavia Music #881. Published by Gavia Music (A0.876657).

Song of the Seraphim is based on the passage from The Apocalypse of Saint John 4:8; "And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say: Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come". Composed in the minimalist style, the work is characterized by repetition, simplicity and a trance-like feel. It features wave-like repetitions of the chant theme, whispers combined with singing, and a bouncy succession of staccato notes illustrating celestial worship. SSAATTBB divisi. Score with a piano reduction. 26 pages. Duration: 6:00. Composed in 2006. Copyright 2006 Dosia McKay / Gavia Music (ASCAP).
