The informative preface and end comments will appeal to all musicians who appreciate historical insights into the creation and performance of a truly unique piano composition. Recordings of the sonata are numerous, but...

those of Van Cliburn, Artur Rubinstein and Sviatislov Richter may serve as inspiration to pianists who attempt to interpret this difficult yet wholly satisfying musical delight. SheetMusicPlus is to be congratulated for providing us musicians with an affordable copy of Liszt's piano masterpiece.
