This song for baritone and piano is from a larger suite. The title translates as "Simple Halay from Sivas." Sivas is a region is eastern Turkey, and Halay refers to a traditional dance. The piano part clearly resembles the Halay that Saygun composed for solo piano as part of the cycle, "From Anatolia," in 1945. 8 pp.
