This book has been popular with my students at the high end of Intermediate. They are a nice way to work with students on thoughtful phrasing and pedaling. Each one has an intro and outro which can be left off without harming the piece. Ray, as always, respects his source...

material, and these pieces contain the essentials of what makes the "real thing" so beautiful. One of my students played the Claire de Lune for recital, and I think very few in the audience were aware it was an intermediate version.

Jerry Ray writes beautifully flowing arrangements which use interesting harmonies. His works have a mellow jazz feel while maintaining the melody and flow of the original pieces.
