I consider myself an early intermediate/intermediate student. I learned to play 4 years ago as an adult. Could play "No Holly for Miss Quinn" after a tad of practice. Enough in here to keep my interest. If you like Enya, this is a nice book.

While these transcriptions are simplified, the overall mood of the music is the same as the recording. Keeping it simple makes it easier to play when sleepy, and I like to play this to help me relax before bed.

I decided to try this book because of the beautiful instrumentals and piano music throughout Enya's recordings. I've been playing the piano for about 30 years and play pretty good for church and such but got out of the habit of practicing other music. This book (I ordered...

2 other books (paint the sky with stars and Watermark) in hopes of getting back in the habit of playing music outside of my comfort zone. All three books are easing me back into playing non-Christian music. I recommend these to anyone who enjoys the music as recorded as the sheet music is true to the recorded. Hope this helps you.

The songs are beautiful, however the transcriptions are less than accurate and, in some cases, a bit simplified. At least 2 of the songs (Books of Days and Lothlorien) are not in the correct key, which is rather disappointing. I also found this to be the case with The Memory...

of Trees. Everything is in the right key in this book, however the transcription does leave something to be desired. Still great songs though. That being said, I did enjoy the forward in Shepherd Moons, which explains how the songs were inspired. And again, regardless of the errors, the music is beautiful.
