5 Stars! This is a THE VERY BEST SELECTION OF VARIOUS 'GRADED' CZERNY STUDIES. it begins at Late Elementary and progresses rather fast up to the end of this Book 1 to Intermediate level! The pieces are the most beautiful ever, yet train one to sight-read, and aid finger...

facility, and eye-hand coordination and dexterity, yes, this book also truly makes one into a very 'strong' pianist! Finest 'method' book too for anyone at any level or age. Plus, there is also a Book 2, and Book 3 for those whom really want to 'get-ahead' and be 'all-you-can-be!'

This is an excellent book. It begins at level 4 and progresses to level 8. I prefer to use Clarfield's Burgmuller Czerny series, because they have explanations of the purpose of the drills at the beginning of each piece.

This book contains one of the best selection of finger dexterity exercises for intermediate students of any age level. Each piece is short and melodious, which prevents boredom from setting in.

I use this book as an excercise book when students finish John Thompson's 1st grade through their advanced stages. It starts off relatively easy and progresses to quite difficult--but in stages each excercise building on the previous one. It introduces many techniqes that will be used in classical...

pieces, and uses chords used in both popular and classical. But most of the excercises have melody and are quite pleasant. I have even used some as recital pieces!
