Seeds of Discoreovery
Seeds of Discoreovery composed by Amchin. For SA recorders, Orff instruments. Recorder Methods, Classroom. Level 2 - Easy to Moderate. Teacher's score and student part. Published by Sweet Pipes (MM.SP02403).
In this collection, alto parts are written with a limited pitch set, allowing beginning alto players to be successful in their first recorder consort experiences. In contrast, soprano parts are more challenging and are for more experienced students. Each selection also includes an optional Orff ensemble accompaniment for those classes using these instruments. Add your own ideas play as recorder duets, rearrange accompaniments with other instruments, add chording instruments, and improvise interludes between repetitions of each piece. Arrangements may be rearranged for other consorts that might have tenor recorders and other wind and percussion combinations. Guitar chords are given in most arrangements for those who include strumming instruments in their classes. The final two pieces are alto duets for more accomplished alto players who have mastered the notes in previous arrangements. Each arrangement is a folk tune to sing and play. A teacher's score and student part are given for each piece. Groups might perform an arrangement first as a vocal piece with accompaniment, followed by an instrumental performance. Singing verses between instrumental performances or improvisations would offer additional performances options. Teaching suggestions are given for individual pieces throughout the collection. Permission is given by the publisher to copy the student scores for distribution.
