A classic for thewind band, SEA SONGS is a delightful piece to play. Butdue to early 20th-century scoring practices, the Bass Clarinet part is written in a very high range – almost like a 4th Clarinet part. And most of what it playsis doubled in other voices (saxes, euphonium, etc.). This means today's bandloses the added sonority of the low register of the Bass Clarinet.
This special partputs the Bass Clarinet back in the low register and doubles the Tuba line. Muchmore enjoyable for your Bass Clarinetist! Also included is a secondspecially-constructed part which includes most of the Bassoon 2 line interwovenwith the Tuba line.
