I'm playing this song in my school's symphonic band, and let me tell you this is one amazing song. In the first movement, it starts with a trumpet lick and then the dark glisses of the woodwinds join in along with the lows which leads to a chromatic...

melody in different instruments of the ensemble. The second movement is a creepy lyrical piece that has many solos in the Flutes, Clarinets, and Bassoons. The Final movement is an exciting conclusion that has many 16th Runs in the melody and it builds the song to a climactic finish. Whatever you play in a typical symphonic band, whether it's oboe or Euphonium, you'll have a wonderful time with this song.

I played this piece in the Provincial Honour Band. It wasn't easy. This piece is for those who really want to learn something new and challenging. The lower instruments have to be strong and the trumpets have to also on the third movement.Have fun with it.
