Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.553212

Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Holiday,Spiritual,Wedding. 19 pages. RayThompsonMusic #13447. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553212).

An arrangement for wind quintet of Erik Satie's most popular pieces of music.
Gymnopedie No.1 is the best known.

My arrangement differs from a lot of arrangements, in that the melody is given to every player, the bass line moves between bassoon, horn and clarinet, and the five members of the quintet do not play together all of the time.

This, I feel gives a bit of variation, and interest to the players!!

Please check out  the rest of my Satie arrangements for varying instrument combinations :

3 Gymnopédies and 3 Gnossiennes. ( sold separately and as collections).

Also: Rag-Time du Pacquebot (Ragtime of the Steampacket) and Sonatina Bureaucratique.
