Melting ice caps, global warming, surfing reindeer! The North Pole is going green this year and everyone is excited – everyone, that is, except Santa who likes things just the way they are. Solar panels, LED light bulbs, new power sources? It all sounds a bit inconvenient to him. Mrs. Claus, the elves, toys and reindeer have their hands full! This entertaining 35-minute holiday musical for Gr. 4-8 features seven original songs and dialog with up to 25 speaking parts and an adaptable cast list for groups of all sizes. The Teacher Edition comes with the full script, accompanied songs, Production Guide and choreography. For extra value, the Performance Kit/CD provides the Teacher Edition, 20 Singer books, and a P/A CD. Available separately: Teacher Edition, Singer Edition 5-Pak, Preview CD (with vocals), Preview Pak (1 Singer book, 1 Preview CD), Performance/Accompaniment CD, and Performance Kit/CD (Teacher, 20 Singer books, P/A CD). Duration: ca. 35 minutes. Sugested for grades 4-8.

OK, so first thing you need to know is that this is nothing more than "green" propaganda targeted at children. I just had to sit through my son's sixth grade class putting this on, and if I was not as mild mannered as I am I would have been...

screaming at the teacher. Anyone who thinks that it is OK to indoctrinate children this way is sick. We can't have any mention of the original intent of Christmas, but the worshiping on environmental ideology is OK?

I am an elementary art teacher and have never taught music a day in my life...We lost our music teacher b/c budget cuts...anyway-I didn't want the children to suffer so we did this play. It was a lot of work, but the reward far outweighed...

that. The kids, and myself, had so much fun. We added group dances to the greenhouse effect and power to the people. Tons of Fun! Parents loved it too. People said it was the best program they'd ever seen!!! If you're looking for a totally different and FUN program for Christmas I suggest you consider this one. It's Awesome!:-)
