Designed for those times when a short, reflective musical interlude is needed, each of these pieces takes less than one minute to perform. For more flexibility, each song is arranged in the same key (G major) so they can be played consecutively for a longer performance. In addition, each song can also be easily repeated to further increase the play time. These quiet, meditative arrangements are ideal for filling those moments during or after a prelude, offertory, or communion and also suitable for a wedding ceremony or reception. These arrangements are straight-forward and suitable for beginner to early intermediate string players with all notes playable in the first two positions. The gently flowing notes provide an excellent opportunity for mastering tone and vibrato as well as experimenting with various slurring techniques. The Violin 3 part is the same as the Viola part in case a Viola player is not available. For each of the five songs in this collection, a 3 page combined score plus a 1 page, 1 staff score for each part is included for a total of 40 pages of music.
