I am still working through this, at a very leisurely pace, but found it quite good, & I am not getting paid to say that. After 12 weeks I can play about 6 left hand pieces ok, and the right hand easy bits. The CD Rom is very handy, as it...

plays tricky ones at slow speed as well as normal (fast) speed. I am just starting to co-ordinate my left hand and right hand together into a full piece, but it is a slow process. I have had to write out the notes (A, B, C, C# etc.) alongside the note symbols, whidh tells you how much of a beginner I am, though I learned piano for about 1 year as an 11 year old, & I could play simple right hand chords. Its fun to play a left hand R&R beat, and the simple ones don't take too long too master, which gives you a bit of encouragement. I recommend it if you are a beginner so long as you take a long term view. I would also recommend it to an intermediate pplayer, or to an advanced player who was new to this style of playing.

I've been trying to learn SOMETHING out of this book for a month with no success. A waste of money!
