Rites of Tamburo

Rites of Tamburo composed by Robert W. Smith. Orchestra. Full Orchestra. Belwin Intermediate Full Orchestra. Grade 2.5. Conductor Score & Parts. 316 pages. Published by Belwin Music (AP.BFOM00004).

Throughout the ages, man has created ceremonies, both liturgical and secular, to celebrate human existence. Driving rhythms are underscored by the melodic and harmonic content and combined with unique tone colors. This work investigates an eclectic blend of musical styles drawn from many cultural roots. Rich and vibrant, it's a powerful new work for orchestra.

I love this song! I play oboe, and I love how there are so many different interesting rhythms, not just the typical stuff we play every day!
