  • August 07, 2008 Rite of Spring for solo piano

This version of the Rite of Spring, for solo piano, is not easy to get hold of. I found it here, and it was delivered trans-Atlantic in only a few days. Excellent! Now all I have to do is learn to play it...

I understand the previous reviewer's frustration. Trying to fit the entire score into one piano part does require patience and improved technique to learn. But Leyetchkiss has done a fantastic job of staying as faithful as possible to the full four hand version. And without having access to a...

second pianist, I enjoy being able to play it myself. I also got a good recording of the four hand version as a reference, which has helped me in working through the trickier sections.

the original as is technically possible. If you don't have access to a second pianist, this is the way to go. I found that getting a good recording of the one piano/four hands arrangement has helped me in working through the trickier sections of this piece.

This is a great piece of music and Vladimir Leyetchkiss has done an outstanding job transcribing this piece into a piano solo format. Only here's the catch. The format is incredibly time consuming to read as well as to play. For the most part is sounds accurate though. it...

is very time consuming and very tough to figure out.
