  • May 17, 2013 Simple, yet still musical

I bought this with intermediate piano students in mind as a possible recital piece and was not disappointed. I think the arrangement is pleasing to the ear, and was still fun to play. Some cons: It isn't in the original key, otherwise this would have been a good piece...

to transition into a more advanced arrangement. This arrangement basically repeats the first part of the piece, so it doesn't build into that melody change that occurs in the last part and it ends differently than the original. So if you are looking for a simplified version true to the original, this is not it.

  • October 25, 2011 Disappointing

I do not see in the description any indication that this is an arrangement, and not even in the original key. Not worth the price.

GREAT FOR LATER BEGINNERS. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE THE ARRANGEMENT IN EITHER B FLAT OR A FLAT FOR PERSONAL CHOICE.

  • March 29, 2009 Only 2 Pages!

I tried 4 different versions of this rhapsody before choosing the Hare arrangement. I wanted something somewhat easy, yet full sounding and beautiful. 5 stars for the music. The description stated that it is 4 pages, it is only 2, so minus 1 star for inaccurate description, also subtract one...

star for $10 price plus tax & shipping ($16).

  • March 23, 2009 A bland arrangement

After getting this arrangement and finding it is written in C-major, and playing it, it sounded very bland. I then found a 'real' version by Rachmaninoff himself in D-flat that was more difficult but more rewarding too.
