Mahler's "Resurrection Symphony" (Symphony No. 2) contains many excellent moments for a brass player, but few excerpts in the entire orchestral repertoire rival the brass chorale in Mahler's finale for sheer glory. Beginning with a gorgeous pianissimo in the low brass and rising to a full-section climax, this chorale will not disappoint your ensemble! This transcription for 2 trumpets, French horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba is equally suited for secular performance or as part of an Easter service. Performance time is approximately 2'.
