I just ordered and received two copies of this piano duet to give to my granddaughter. However, in comparing it to my older version--I find this Spanish publisher's version is simplified--making the treble easier to do--still pretty; however, is lacking some of the sparkle of two...

hand arpeggios, etc., in the treble. Wonder where I can find the unsimplified version?

  • August 15, 2000 Thoroughly Delightful!

Qui Vive is a thoroughly delightful piece, that my sister and I performed as a duet(some 35+ years ago as fourth/fifth year piano students). The bass is full of exhaustive chords that provide a complementary counterpoint to the energetic melodies and arpeggios of the treble part. It is...

pleasant and entertaining to the audience as well as the performers. I can remember being completely engrossed in performing the bass part at once as I enjoyed my sister's complementary performance of the treble. It always seemed to thrill our audience. I highly recommend this piece for young classical musicians today.
