Composed by Friedrich Kuhlau. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Classical. 68 pages. Lisa L Ochoco #2953. Published by Lisa L Ochoco (A0.559333).

Ask any flutist if they know of Kuhlau's music and most of the time the answer will be yes. Of all the flute music that Kuhlau wrote, unfortunately, he wrote only one flute quartet. This piece was a string quartet and I arranged it for flute quartet - either 4 C flutes or 3 C flutes and alto. I think it lends itself nicely to a flute piece, and like usual Kuhlau fashion, all of the parts are interesting and challenging to play. This is for the more advanced flute ensemble. This is the first movement of three and would be a great piece to add to your Kuhlau repertoire!
