This compact metronome is the size of a credit card (but thicker), yet is loud enough to be heard over your instrument. You can select 2/4, 3/4, or 4/4 accent patterns with a higher-pitched first beat to help you maintain perfect rhythm. The LCD display visually teaches rhythm with a 'Bouncing ball' effect that shows you which beat you are on. Adjustable to over 200 speeds from 40 to 250 beats per minute with a push of a button, this metronome can easily be calibrated to the exact tempo you want. The metronome will also operate in silent mode, showing just the 'bouncing ball' display for you to follow. The controls on the front of the metronome are flush with the surface, and common tempo ranges associated with Italian tempo terms are listed. The back includes a tilt-back stand. Requires one 3-volt battery (included).

A metronome that does NOT keep the beat! It loses constant beats per minute(BPM). It slows down, then speeds up. I play both piano and ukulele; my foot tap keeps a better beat. The old fashion metronome is best. This one is a waste of money.

I get this for my students who need to develop a stronger sense of rhythm, and tempo settings. They use it as needed, and for the price, it is just right. I tell them it's like a watch, it keeps ticking, even when you turn off the sound. When...

it keeps jumping back to a 'default' setting, it's time for a new battery. Simple and effective.

I just wanted a simple metronome. In the description, you are not told that you cannot shut off the strong beat option, therefore it is always on. This is very annoying. Also, the metronome itself can NEVER be shut off (though the sound can). The display is always on. The...

instructions say this does not run down the battery prematurely, but I don't believe it. Don't buy one of these things!! what a waste.

Hmm.. I don't know who would design an electrical device without an on/off switch. Really really silly, you will have to take out the battery (CR2032) from the back. As inexpansive as it is, it is porly designed.

  • May 07, 2008 Works for me!

I am a piano teacher and this is the metronome I use. It's not fancy, obviously, but it does the job. I have several students with this metronome also. It does run constantly, but the battery is like a watch battery and it runs forever. And there is a...

sound button to push so it can be silent when you're not using it.
