Great writing, standard tunes in the hymnody expertly arranged. I would rate these as advanced material. The riffs are beautiful, melodies are wonderfully enhanced by the lush harmonies and cool rhythmic drive. Please continue on Craig Curry you are a gifted and talented musician. A joy to play!

This is one of very few collections of whicht I will use every piece at some time. Thoroughly enjoy working these pieces up, and my church audience appreciates the refreshing change of pace. GIVE US MORE, CURRY!!!!!!!!!

I have both this and Craig Curry's Gospel Improv. This is somewhat more difficult music for me to play than Gospel Improv, but still truly inspired arrangements that provide player and listener with new musical insights into these hymns.

If your church or for your personal pleasure, likes some "light jazz" to its hymns, get this! I bought it for a friend for use on the harpsichord, but couldn't help myself and sampled it before I gave it to her. I was glad I did, for anyone introducing...

jazz to their worship, this would be a great collection. I rated it intermediate/advanced because as an organist, it is sometimes hard reading the extra ledger lines, and some intricate work is involved, including jumps, but not beyond the serious student. Easy and light treatment of standard hymntunes, and gives enough variety and interest to keep me interested while practicing. Maybe a bit pricey, but for someone just entering this area, well worth it.

While always looking for more innovative material, I came across this name and tried it. Not disappointed in the least. Both accessible and interesting enough to hold my attention, and challenging to me as a musician. While Jazz may not everyone favorites, Curry is a good entry into this world...

, as a musician as well as a congregation.
