Primordium

Primordium composed by Mark Williams. Concert Band. Concert Band; SmartMusic. Accent on Achievement. Form: Fanfare. Grade 1.5. Conductor Score & Parts. 118 pages. Published by Alfred Music (AP.18781).

Travel back in time to visit the Earth as it may have been during prehistoric times. Hear the eerie bubbling of the "primordial ooze," the raw volcanic power of the ostinato and the heroic newness of the major fanfare in this intensely colorful work. A great contest piece, Primordium is correlated with Accent on Achievement, Book 2, page 29. Your band will think this one sounds cool! This title is available in SmartMusic.
Concert/Contest.

I played this as a sevie and now I'm in 8th grade. So the story is the Wind Ensemble, I was the only Sevie in it, we played with both the orchestras this song and it was awesome. I just love it! It's great! Memorable and easy but...

FUN! for the orchestra however it is harder, for the band it's easy but fun! Highly reccomended! Mark Williams has outdone himself!!!

My 8th grade band played this a few times in band, and it was awesome. The suspended cymbal added a cool effect to the music, along with the crash cymbals. I actually felt like I had gone back in time. Even though this peice is a little easy for 8th...

grade, I loved it! This is must-play music!
