I came across Piano Advetures by accident when I was "googling" a song for children. I was really impressed with the website, particularly the video clips. The Teacher's Guide has all of these on disc as well as many other tips and suggestions to go along with the student...

books. It has really given my teaching a boost using this material and the children are absolutely delighted with it and loving what they are playing.

  • September 18, 2011 Worth it just for the DVD!

I purchased this teacher guide because I added many new beginners this fall season. I started using Piano Adventures last year and absolutely loved it. I am trying to continually improve my piano teaching, so I thought I'd try this book out. I was hoping for some clarification on...

a few ideas from the series I'd always been a little foggy about (heavy wet ropes being one). Each and every page from the primer lesson book has a two page spread with ideas and pointers. There wouldn't possibly be time in a half hour lesson to fit it all in, but I can pick and choose. The highlight of the purchase was the DVD. I popped that in and watched most of it all in one sitting, totally overwhelmed at the great ideas from Nancy Faber. If you don't even open the book, but simply watch the DVD, you will have plenty of ideas and tips, just by watching her interact with her students. I also like the duet songs printed at the back.
