Premier Piano Course, GM Disk 3 for Lesson and Performance composed by Dennis Alexander, Gayle Kowalchyk, and E. L. Lancaster. For Piano. Method/Instruction; Piano - Alfred's Premier Piano Course. Premier Piano Course. Children. General MIDI Disk. Published by Alfred Music (AP.30426).

Two General MIDI Disks contain piano performances and exciting orchestral accompaniments which correlate with the Lesson Book and Performance Book of level 3. Colorful and imaginative orchestrations compliment, rather than overwhelm, the student's solo piano part. The orchestrations are based on the teacher duet accompaniment and they can be controlled separately along with the RH and LH piano parts, since each is on a separate track. Orchestrations by Brent Mills and Jason Nyberg.

  • August 16, 2008 Appealing series

This is a straightforward continuation of this new series geared to today's upbeat, less classically oriented student. Book three introduces and concentrates on dotted and syncopated rhythms by means of Jazz or Latin style pieces all at an appropriate mid-beginner level. It also includes a smattering of classical...

pieces as do all the books. Chord cadences are reinforced and the key of D is introduced. The accompanying CD will help some students and their teachers in progressing through this appealing, upbeat and pedagogically sound Method.
