So far I've only worked on the Fugue. It's a beautiful and moving work. His fugue writing includes a wonderful secondary theme in 16th notes along with inversions of the primary theme. Of course, the works of Jehan Alain, who he's paying tribute to, are worth examining...

    as well.

This is a recital piece of some difficulty which might appeal to a competent player with access to an organ of reasonable resources. It is a long work (23 pages) needing considerable effort to achieve a convincing performance. The work is based upon a five note paraphrase of the name...

"Alain", and is in rapid compound triple time throughout with some 2s against 3s. In style it is chromatically contrapuntal. The prelude contains a thematic quote from Alain's "Litanies". One section is in 7 flats!
