This book is grade level: Elementary - Intermediate. This is the very best book to take up after one has fully completed the piano study method book by Beyer Op.101, this Kohler Method is most "practical" in that you'll perfect your sight-reading, and it very comprehensive, but progressively...

goes through each major & minor scale with both lovely sounding pieces & etudes, plus great technical work. After this, VOL.1, and there's also a VOL.2, after completely successfully finishing BOTH of these Volumes, then I 100% guarentee that most people I know have much easier tackled the Carl Czerny series of Czerny Opus 823,599,849,299,and 740, you'll be very happy that you FIRST perpared for Czerny, as all of "his" book are very tough! Happy playing:)
