3 flutes - Grade 3-4
Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Lloyd Conley. Irish Folk Song. Score and set of parts. Published by Kendor Music Inc (KN.14427).

Item Number: KN.14427

Irish Folk Song.

This delightful collection features five great Irish favorites: Londonderry Air, The Kerry Dance, The Lass With The Delicate Air, The Irish Washerwoman, and The Girl I Left Behind Me. As is true of all good arrangements, every part has ample activity, substance, and solo opportunities. Ornamentations emulating the style of James Galway are provided, but may be omitted if players can't negotiate them with ease. In his score notes, Conley says that balancing the relative strength of the highest and lowest notes will be the greatest challenge.

This is a great flute trio at an intermediate level. All the parts are interesting to play, the melodies and harmonies are nice., and lots of key changes to watch for.

Some of the movements are better than others, and some of the harmonies are a bit odd, but it's nice filler music for an art show or something.
