Hobb's Wedding is a Playford English Country Dance tune from the 9A edition of Playford's Dancing Master (1696). It is in 6/4 time and presented in the original key. I've arranged this tune as a trio for alto recorder, tenor recorder, and violin with optional guitar chords. Two flutes can substitute for the alto and tenor recorder parts. The alto recorder has the melody throughout. The form is AABB; the repeats have been written out in this arrangement. Hobb's would make a lovely wedding processional or prelude music for a theme wedding. It makes delightful background music for a reception or a tea. Students will likewise enjoy Hobb's Wedding as a recital piece.
