  • April 24, 2012 This Play Along Series is Tops!

This series of quintet books are excellent, the best I have ever purchased for our new group. Learning to play these intermediate songs will take you to the next level. Canadian Brass also did not do a lot of duplicating music from other book series, like they ususally do. The...

CD play- along is also terrific. My only complaint is that there is no warning when the music is about to start for the full instrument track. They did insert some clicking beats for the part with your instrument missing. The first trumpet book is the hardest, but ALL instruments get to be the lead throughout the songs.

  • September 29, 2006 Printing error?

As noted in a previous review, the printed Trumpet I part doesn't match the lead trumpet part on the CD for several of the pieces. Very frustrating.

  • May 31, 2006 misleading, not lead part

was very disapponited, the ist trumpet is not the lead trumpet as far as the arrangements are concerned. Glad I only ordered the one play along book before I ordered the second

Great sound. Excellent printed score quality. Definitely for the intermediate player. There is another title available for Trumpet II part.
