Worth owning if you are a teacher and need something different occasionally. Could be tried to motivate a bored student. Comes only with CD backing so you cannot slow things down for the less able. Some of the bowing is questionable but mostly it is OK. "He's a Pirate...

" would be less awkward put up an octave.

  • September 25, 2007 Fun to play along and have pop music for viola

My students like these to play. It motivates those who need something popular to play. The speed and rhthm patterns are challenging. I feel that the viola parts should have been written an octave higher. There would be less high third fingers and the range is still brighter. Playing mostly...

on C and G string is more difficult for beginners. The violin parts are therefore easier to play.

I really liked this book I found some songs really easy while others were hard but they are really fun to play. I highly recommend this book.
