  • April 23, 2008 Not too good

I purchased this book to complete my set from the trilogy. The original book is definitely a lot better, and the third (World's End) is second place. Songs are generally oversimplified, such as Davy Jones Plays His Organ, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. The Davy...

Jones theme (music box) was OK, and a few others were too, but generally, this is not nearly as good as the first book.

  • September 03, 2007 AMAZING!

This book is great! Mr. Zimmer is a genius. Songs sound just like the sound track, and they are Very fun to play!20 stars if I could. It is a little easier but just as great as the first book. And I'd like to see the people that...

think this book is over-rated or mediocre try to write anything even a little bit close to as good as this book. And for those of you that say the music is boring, it sounds just like the soundtrack. Everyone that is talented enough to play this music will love it!

  • August 17, 2007 Pretty good.

"Davy Jones" is now one of my favorite pieces of all time and that piece is worth the entire book! Haven't had time to review the other pieces but only a couple show the same promise as "Davy Jones". That is okay, though, since the haunting melody is so...

    completely awesome!!!!

  • July 22, 2007 Well Arranged Songs

The songbook was arranged very well. The themes from the music in the movie were brought out. The songbook does not variate the songs so much that the main theme is lost. In Davy Jones especially, it sounds as if the song is playing off of the soundtrack.
