I have had the chance to play a pretty wide range of classical piano trios, but this one isn't played much. But it's really a beautiful piece of music and I believe Debussy's only piano trio? It is definitely French, but not too far to the impressionistic...

since Debussy composed it when he was quite young. Personally I still prefer the more classical piano trios (Mozart, Beethoven, Dvorak, etc.), but I am extremely pleased to have spent a few months with this piano trio.
