    Difficulty Level:
  • September 13, 2007 Like the simplicity in format

This book is good if you like a simple page format for early learning, which I do. I find that some other books that have been published lately are too busy with distracting pictures and colors. I was reccomended this book by another piano teacher when I talked about wanting...

to try something new. I initially was exited about it, however, after using it I realized that the songs were uniteresting and outdated. Some of the songs were un-pc and I didn't notice that until halfway through the book! I immediately went back to the Alfred method. I use the Alfred's Basic Piano Lib. and Little Mozarts for the young ones but am intrigued by Alfred's premier course which I may try out next... :) Overall: Liked the book's simplicity and straight forward approach Disliked the outdated and boring songs

    Newington, CT
    Difficulty Level:
  • May 09, 2007 Good Traditional Middle C Method

The Glover Piano Library provides a user-friendly middle C approach to beginning piano: gradual enough to give the student time to learn the notes thoroughly. Beginning in level 1, the focus changes to a comprehensive, multikey development of I, IV, and V7 chords in all 15 major keys. Thus...

, the course provides a perfect blend of the old and the new. There is never difficult music too soon, or stumbling blocks of unprepared skills. Any student can be successful with this course.
