Composed in December 2012, Opus 13 is Dean Bavister's 2nd Piano Sonata, in D Major. The 1st movement (Allegro con brio) is a lively sonata form featuring two main contrasting themes. The 2nd movement (Adagio con espressione) is characteristically slower and expressive, starting in B minor. The final movement is a lively minuet in G and with a short coda finally ends the sonata in D major.
