  • March 11, 2008 A Secure Start for Young Beginners

For the young or old getting a secure start at the piano builds up confidence. For the young elementary age student getting situated at the piano takes extra patience and time. All courses use a form of the middle C approach for starters, whether they state it or not. It...

This book has been a very exciting book for my young beginners age 3 to 5. It helps them have fun with the piano and lays the foundation for more advanced learning.

  • August 01, 2006 Obsolete Middle C Approach

This method reverts to the obsolete approach of starting from middle C and teaching one note at a time from memory. There are so many better methods that use an interval/landmark approach that it would be a shame to use this one for primary instruction. There is some value...

, however, to the compositions in this course. That could make it a decent source for supplemental music
