Am enjoying being able to play the theme from his concerto, I'm nearly 80 yrs old and am relearning music from my childhood!

  • March 16, 2012 great teaching piece

This has been perfect for my adult student who was falling in love with the original, full-fledged concerto. I would call it "early intermediate", though, not "beginner". It's in A minor, which is much less intimidating to students. The only thing missing from the main theme were a...

few ornamental notes that come on the repeat, and I could show her those. The original is so stunning to people that playing this arrangement makes her feel on cloud nine.

This is pretty difficult for me. I also ordered an easier version but its to simple and doesn't give the Concerto justice.
