He is scowling but soon the sun comes out and he breaks into a smile. Later he returns to the uneven tap that starts the piece. Fun little piece we did for our pirate education program. In Dm has a hint of jewish influence. Probably unintentional. If your quartet is doing an education program this works well with a little creatively on your part.
