Absolutely beautiful! Pat Liebergen has arranged Ravel’s timeless masterpiece, Pavane pour une infante défunte, for choir, and adapted Ravel’s orchestration for oboe and strings as optional accompaniment. Jean Anne Shafferman has added a Christmas text that is simply stunning: "On a silent, starry night, Christus natus est." Certain to be the highlight of school seasonal concerts and Christmas worship, it is available in three voicings for singers of all ages.
Inst. Parts Available (choral); Recorded Acc. Available.

Beautiful... The chorus loves it. I had a sopranp sax play the flute part and it sounds great.

The moment I heard it, I knew our church choir had to sing it. The combination of Ravel's melody (usually so sad)and the interwoven English and Latin text is wonderful. Plus, I get to play my flute, which blends beautifully with the piano.
