  • January 19, 2009 Great album and awsome songs, but..

Passion and Warfare is one of my favorite albums. But in this book, at least the one I got, there were a lot of errors in the music. I don't know If they have been corrected. It is still worth getting, but keep that in mind when you buy...

    it.

  • January 25, 2005 Great, accurate, very difficult.

Nailing Steve Vai is excruciatingly diffucult, but the tab here is extremely accurate and on a couple of the songs includes the entire score... Vai's eccentricity shows throughout and the sheer brilliance of the music can almost be seen at a glance: even the non-expert can look at...

a page and view simply as impressive artwork. Either way, great stuff, and if you can actually master it... then you're better than me. I'm still working on the easiest of the bunch (Sisters).

  • July 11, 2002 Improve your playing witht this book

Wow! what a great book. This album is probably one of the best guitar albums of all time, and one that I have heard. His playing is so dramatic and intense, it's hard not to like it or get into it. And if you play, and you like him...

, this is a must! In detail, it shows exactly the techniques that he uses. On some of the songs like "Liberty" it even has bass and drum tabs, and all the backing guitars and horns. If you feel skeptical about buying this book, because maybe you feel it is too advanced, ask yourself this- Can you play at least one lick by ear? If you can, then you're fine. If you practice scales, you will recognize some that he uses. So don't delay, buy today
