Over the Waves (Sobre las Olas) composed by Juvetino Rosas has been popular for over 100 years. Rosas was born in Santa Cruz, Mexico, and he began his musical career playing with dance music bands in Mexico City. First published in Mexico in 1888, Over the Waves was later used in the film The Great Caruso with the lyrics for The Loveliest Night of the Year. It was made popular at fairgrounds and circuses when it became an available tune for fairground organs. This an arrangement for easy violin with piano accompaniment. A separate sheet is provided for the violin along with the score.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
