This is great to change up the versus of the hymns. Gives a nice variety.

This book is a great resource for church organists. I use it for short offertory music, before-church medleys, and postludes, but not for highlighted solos or special numbers. It works particularly well if you like to be creative: you can play a song several times, changing registrations, chimes on...

melody, etc. Pieces are generally one page and include suggested registrations, manual changes, and chord symbols. The chords are the standard ones, so there are no "odd sounding" or "unique" harmonies, just straight forward hymn tunes. The right hand is frequently just the melody note; the left hand playing two or three notes at a time. The format is two staffs with one verse of words between. The pedal notes are included on the lower staff and change with the chords, nothing fancy. I love it.
